A Message from the President

Giftware and Tabletop It is an exciting time in the glass industry. That is no small thing to say, when you consider the roots of our company go back over 100 years, stretching to the birth of American industrial glassmaking in Jeannette Pennsylvania. Jeannette Specialty Glass has been here all that time, becoming world renowned for the highest quality commercial and industrial glass products.

So why is today so exciting? Today new technologies and innovations have allowed glass to become a designer’s dream. Never before has glass been so durable, beautiful, and functional. To meet the growing demand in the commercial, home, and hospitality markets, Jeannette Specialty Glass formed JSG Oceana Glass, LLC. Here at JSG Oceana, our mission is to provide the highest quality glass home decor products, and it seems that every day we are coming out with new designs and new ideas.

It is also an exciting time because these new technologies and innovations are American. We feel privileged to be located in the historic “Glass City” of Jeannette, Pennsylvania and to be carrying on a glassmaking tradition with a proud American heritage. Research conducted right here by Jeannette Specialty Glass has allowed JSG Oceana to bring its own unique formulation of “Hard Roc” borosilicate glass to the market. “Hard Roc” glass is more scratch and stain resistant than older soda-lime glass products, as well as being thermal and shock resistant, allowing it to take extreme temperatures in hot and cold water.

Because of the durability of our unique glass formula, JSG Oceana has the distinction of introducing the only glass kitchen sink on the market.
